Regain: The Airship

The final box is the smallest. He'd almost forgotten about it in the wake of the revelation about the bottle of Poolwine now in his possession. When he opens it, it takes him a moment to parse what he's seeing in front of him. A note in Gal Friday's neat handwriting warns him that it will only be available to him in certain circumstances, but that doesn't fully absorb. Surely...surely not...

This is what sends him running from the cabin, booted feet pounding along the decks as he sprints up toward one of the highest decks, keeping a look out for the red flag and the landing pad that would surely stand out against the white of the ship. And there it is, clear as day. But the mechanism he would need to touch isn't there, so he supposes that that is how they're going to keep him from just summoning it, but...there it is. He has everything he needs to have his ship back. He paces back and forth a few seconds, then sprints back down into the passenger quarters again. He needs to find Crichton. He has awesome news.

Regain: The Rubber Duck

The packages keep coming, this time in pairs. The first one that he opens is deceptively small, but as soon as he carefully removes the paper and rolls it to put aside with the rest of the wrapping paper from every other package, the top rockets right off, and suddenly, in his lap in the middle of his bed, there is a massive rubber duck, its shadows cast in the same pixelated way that all of the Things that he deploys do. He's momentarily baffled, until he realizes where he's seen this thing before.

Apologies to Bastion, as Wayne vigorously squeaks this enormous duck, then tucks it to one side with the intention of taking it to the pool and using it as a flotation device later.

Regain: The Tears

He's baffled by the little envelope in lieu of an actual box. He's baffled even more by seeing a sort of collage of various cartoon characters, all with tears running down their faces. He doesn't feel much of anything, looking over them, but something in his nose burns, and his eyes follow suit, but he just grinds a knuckle into one and the feeling subsides easily enough. Weird, there must have been something in the envelope. He's just going to hope that it's not contagious, whatever has just happened to him.

Regain: The Record

One box this time. Heavy, a bit awkward, but when he gets it back to his cabin and opens it up, he's pleased with what he finds: a turntable, seemingly brand new, looking as if it had come straight from his room back at Waynehouse. The record sleeve that rests on top of it catches him off-guard, though; that's a photo of his crew, rendered just as he remembered them, with himself (or at least a Wayne in general) stood up proud with his guitar. He already knows what he's going to hear when he sets it up, moving the kitten figures around on his side table to do so, and now for the next foreseeable future, his roommate is going to have to deal with him playing, and replaying, and replaying, and sometimes playing along with, his own music.
